World Book Day

cmgaylard

The two books at the top of my pile right now are contemporary vs old/ancient. I’ve had an eye out for an affordable book on jeweller Peter Chang forever, thinking I’d likely only catch one second-hand. My search was recently rewarded, I found this glorious item for only £5 plus p&p available from @liverpoolmuseums so go and get yours now… The other is an aged and battered copy of The Encyclopaedia of Signs and Symbols. I bought it in my first year of teaching art at secondary school and it still gets good use. At any one time I am usually working between two contrasting projects one usually involving narrative and detail, the other abstraction and natural forms. These two books are a good exemplar. What are yours?
