Answered Prayers

The making of something curious sometimes has to be its own reward. I’d say my exploration of prayer beads in this Rosary for a Garden (the beads are ephemeral things such as leaves, moth wings, snail shells, fossils and raindrops) is two or three times larger than the average - and heavier than it looks. Each element is sculpted directly onto steel wire, in the flame. HOWEVER, someone who saw it two years ago and was still thinking about it, visited my studio yesterday and has carried it off. Along with numerous other #glass peculiarities, and will wear it strikingly. Appreciation for bolts from the blue and fascinating studio visitors 🙏
